Job Overview: The Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, operating machinery to produce precision parts. They are responsible for ensuring the safe operation of machines and meeting production specifications. Milling Machinist

We are looking for an experienced milling machinist! 1st shift, Monday through Friday. Description: The Machinist is responsible for all aspects of machine operation, including setting up and operating milling and lathe machines to produce parts. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting appropriate cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, and monitoring the machining process to ensure quality output. Duties: • Performs all assigned machine shop operations. • Sets up and operates machinery to cut, shape, or form parts to meet specifications and ensure conformity of finished work. • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders. • Follows the company's tag system and inspects machined products using gauges, micrometers, and calipers, performing quality checks on parts. The ideal candidate will use manual machinery, such as lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, grinders, and will also be involved in electroplating processes. This position requires a strong knowledge of machine procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, and layout, with a focus on precision and quality. This is a non-CNC position.
