Machine Operator - CNC Machinist (2nd shift)

Pay Rate: $22.75 + $2.00 (2nd shift differential) Key Responsibilities • CNC Operation: Select proper program, set up job, and then operate CNC machines to make parts per prints. • Machine Operation: Efficiently operate machine(s), maintain productivity and WQ quality standards. • Tooling Preparation: Prepare tooling as needed for each job. • Machining Process: Run the machining process, performing first article inspections and subsequent machining of components after approval from the Quality department. Conduct in-process inspections ensuring the best possible quality throughout the batch of parts. • Multi-Tasking: • Record start and end times associated with each operation using the Production Report for each job throughout the shift • May need to operate more than one machine from time to time • Report any issues encountered to the LH or Supervisor of the area • May need to use different forms of deburring tools from belt sanders to die grinders to manual deburring tools • Material Handling: Operate dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed for material handling. • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Education and Experience: • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge and Skills: • Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team. • Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries. • Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
