This is either a 12-hour day shift schedule 6am-6pm or 12-hour night shift schedule 6pm-6am. Job Description Responsibilities: • Perform accurate data entry transactions within MRP system along with accurately recording information on the Discrete job to ensure material traceability/accountability • Reads and interprets a variety of work schedules, Kanban, Discrete job, bill of materials, pick lists, drawings and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) • Operation of various equipment while achieving quality standards, a production plan and cost objectives. • Perform machine changeovers • Perform minor adjustments and perform troubleshooting logic to maintain part specifications and conducts all operations within guidelines of the SOP's and operational codes • Assist in the PM of assigned machinery • Independently start up and operate equipment as per applicable procedures • Recognize technical problems that require assistance from machine shop/engineering and request support as needed • Provide feedback on processes and machine performance to engineering and manufacturing management • Provide training to other machine operators as requested • Continually review procedures for clarity, completeness and correctness. Demonstrate the ability to reference and talk through manufacturing procedures • Maintain a clean and safe working environment • Set up work station with necessary equipment and supplies as per job assignment • Coordinate with Production Supervisors/Coordinators to meet production requirements • Operates bar coding and other computerized equipment • Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements • Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements • May perform other duties as assigned Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to actively communicate with Production Coordinator and/or Production Supervisor.
