Job Overview As a CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift, you will be responsible for operating CNC mills, lathes, and saws to manufacture high-quality metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, blueprint reading, and quality control procedures. You will work both independently and collaboratively to meet production demands while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry best practices. Responsibilities • Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws to manufacture metal components according to precise specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machining processes. • Set up, adjust, and operate machinery with minimal supervision to ensure production efficiency. • Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to verify product accuracy. • Maintain production records and complete necessary documentation, including shop travelers and inspection reports. • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. • Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures. • Keep the work area clean and organized while following 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Requirements • At least 2 (two) or more years of experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a manufacturing environment. • At least 2 (two) or more years of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, calipers, and micrometers. • Strong understanding of shop math and machining principles. • At least 1 (one) or more years of experience deburring/finishing parts to meet quality standards. • Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality. Core Competencies • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Preferences • Technical school certification in machining or a related field. • Basic CNC programming experience (not required but a plus). • Experience with lean manufacturing principles. Travel & Work Arrangements • This position will be based 100% onsite at our Tulsa, Oklahoma facility • Must be able to work extended hours as required by management.
