CNC Setup / Machinist

Immediate opening for a skilled CNC Setup/ Machinist with programming experience and experience with vertical and horizontal mills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of G and M codes, and the ability to create and edit CNC programs to optimize machining processes. We are offering a full-time position on day shift. CNC Setup/ Machinist Responsibilities: • Operating and programming vertical and horizontal mills. • Creating and editing CNC programs using G and M codes. • Setting up and maintaining the vertical turret lathe • Troubleshooting and making adjustments to CNC programs as necessary • Following safety protocols at all times. • Solidworks and AutoCAD is a plus CNC Setup/ Machinist Requirements: • 3+ years of experience operating and programming a vertical turret lathe • Strong understanding of G and M codes • Experience with setting up and maintaining the vertical turret lathe • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment CNC Setup/ Machinist Compensation: • Health, Dental, vision & Supplemental Insurance • Paid Vacations • Paid Holidays • 401K Retirement plan with company match Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Please include your best email address and phone number to reach you. Responsibilities: • Operates CNC, lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, and profile machines • Manual editing of CNC Programs • Works alongside experienced Industrial / Manufacturing Technicians to generate CNC programs for 3, 4 & 5 axis Vertical and Horizontal Milling Machinery • Works from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts • Requires advanced knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes • Performs housekeeping of machine and work area • Performs daily maintenance check of machine • Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge: • High School or Equivalent • Minimum of 10 years of CNC Machinist experience required • Multi-axis CNC experience preferred • Mechanical aptitude required • Valid Driver’s License • Crane/Forklift – In-house training provided to obtain certification • Proper use of Safety Equipment such as Safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves • Proper use of tools such as Inside and Outside Micrometers, Depth Micrometer, Calipers, Bore Gages and other General Hand Tools Our company offers a full range of benefits starting with first day of employment.
