Key Responsibilities: • CNC Setup & Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (lathes, mills) to complete precision machining tasks. • Quality Control: Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, and gauges) to inspect parts, ensuring they meet rigorous specifications. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues. • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, job travelers, and layouts, applying knowledge of GD&T to ensure proper machining and measurements. • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to machine set-ups, production processes, and efficiency. • Production Documentation: Maintain accurate records in EPICOR, tracking time, quantity, and scrap data for all assigned work orders. • Machine Maintenance: Inspect and perform minor repairs on machinery to keep operations running smoothly. • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Required Skills & Abilities: • Ability to set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools (lathes, mills). • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T. • Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent time management. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative work environment. • Familiarity with EPICOR or similar ERP systems is a plus.
