CNC Machinist/Toolmaker

Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machining knowledge, and mechanical aptitude. The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in producing precision components for various industries, including plastics, packaging, and infrastructure. Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and program CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems. • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD models to produce precise parts. • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc. to verify dimensions. • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. • Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations while adhering to safety standards. • Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet specifications. • Assist with tooling changes, calibration, and adjustments to optimize machining accuracy. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment following lean manufacturing practices. • Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements and new project setups. Requirements • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming (Fanuc preferred). • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, and mechanical drawing interpretation. • Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines; familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. • Skilled in CAD software such as AutoCAD and general CAM programming techniques. • Ability to operate precision measuring instruments. • Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes. • Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining processes. • Familiarity with tooling selection, setup procedures, and troubleshooting CNC equipment. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Valid certification or training in lean manufacturing principles is advantageous; forklift operation skills are a plus. Job Responsibilities The Field Service Technician will have an understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to effectively detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components. Duties include, but are not limited to: • Daily travel from home to customer facilities with overnight hotel stays required when servicing remote Customer locations within the designated coverage territory or when participating in remote training programs. • Install, commission, calibrate, maintain, address, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment and accessory CNC equipment at customer facilities. Service calls also include operator training, networking between systems, software applications, preventive maintenance, major assembly replacements and alignments, overhauls/refurbishments, upgrades/retrofits, and un-installation services. • Demonstrate a willingness to help others and be a productive team member. • Ensure accurate documentation is completed and connect with office management daily. Efficiently update the status of machine issues, repairs, and installations using the Salesforce Lightning Customer Support computer system. • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company. • Promote and perform preventative maintenance and successfully diagnose and resolve CNC equipment issues to the customer’s satisfaction. Job Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience with a machine tool builder or distributor, a factory maintenance technician would also be considered. • Proficient verbal and written communication and Customer relation skills. • Able to interact and optimally communicate in person and over the phone with customer and co-workers. • Present a professional image. • Must be adaptable to changes and flexible when dealing with delays, or general work-related issues • Basic digital literacy and understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Must have, and/or be willing/capable of being trained to develop, electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers etc.). • Knowledge of machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance & repair and/or a broad shop background, is a plus. • Basic mechanical and logical solving skills and ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics are required. • Rational decision making and problem-solving skills. • Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated or manual machinery. CNC Machine Operator

CNC Machine Operator - Meadville, PA Pay: Starting at $14/Hour Shift: 1st Shift: 7AM-3:30PM Job Summary: The primary function of the Machine Operator is to manually operate machines (CNC and/or NC lathes) to produce high quality parts in an efficient and safe manner. Part quality and production is the focus of their job. They are also responsible for maintaining safe, clean machines and work environment.
