CNC lathe, I.D. and O.D. grinders, surface grinders, saws, etc • Repair broken parts/tooling as necessary • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. • Perform continuous quality control of the parts and/or tooling in production • Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance and/or unsafe working conditions • Contribute to accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for developing new methods, systems and processes, exploring opportunities for job enhancement Skills and Qualifications: • 5-7 years' experience as a precision machinist with knowledge of conversational programming • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for effective manufacture of precision components, including experience in tolerance standards management • Measuring skills using calipers, bore micrometers, and pin gauges • Mechanical ability using hand tools • Conceptual thinker, process improvement aptitude • Ability to remain organized and pay attention to detail • Must be a team player and possess a "can do" attitude • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs • Capable of safely operating lift assist equipment, minor rigging, hoist crane, etc • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively Work Environment: This role will work in a clean, climate-controlled machine shop within a manufacturing facility.
