Summary As a Machinist at BOC Water Hydraulics, LLC., you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process. This position involves operating various machinery to produce high-quality hydraulic components that meet our rigorous standards. Your contributions will directly impact our mission of delivering exceptional products to our customers. Job Description Proficiency in general machining practices include table set-ups, tooling changes, interpretation of part detail drawings, and operation of overhead cranes. Full time position (averaging 45 hours per week). Day shift only, with the potential for Saturday overtime. Must be able to lift 50 pounds (tooling). Journeyman's card and other certifications a plus. Prior experience necessary, preferably 2 to 3 years. Looking for highly motivated, team-oriented individuals. Responsibilities • Operate and maintain milling machines and other related equipment. • Ensure precision and quality of manufactured components according to specifications. • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on machinery to maintain optimal performance. • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. • Document production processes and report any discrepancies or issues. • Set up machines based on print readings • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. • Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes. • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut. • Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings. • Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. • Facilitate work-order paper flow and work standards in accordance with ISO quality standards. • Plus other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management Requirements • Proven experience as a Mill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. • Strong understanding of CNC operations, Mill and Lathe machines. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
