About the position Responsibilities • Operate various machine tools, including 3, 4, and 5-axis machining CNC machines, grinding machines, lathes, and milling machines • Plan and perform difficult machining operations with complicated setups or a high degree of accuracy • Set up machine tools, including installing cutting tools and adjusting guides, stops, working tables, and other controls • Determine proper feeds, speeds, tooling, and operation sequences or select those prescribed in drawings, blueprints, or layouts • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to make necessary adjustments during machining operations • Select proper coolants and cutting and lubricating oils, recognize when tools need dressing, and dress tools as needed Requirements • Must be able to maintain secret level security clearance • Willing to be moved to different machines with different tasks as workload demands • Background in manufacturing is a plus • Possess basic computer skills and be able to check email daily as well as perform computer-based annual training Nice-to-haves • Waterjet and 5-axis CNC machining experience • Experience in a 'job shop' environment where the same product isn't produced every day • SAP experience Benefits • Flexible schedules • Competitive pay • Comprehensive benefits

About the Position As a CNC Machinist at Lexair Inc., you will be joining a team of highly skilled machinists that have dedicated years of experience to the art of industrial manufacturing. What You’ll Do • Program, set-up, and operate CNC Machines using G code or conversational programming • Operation of multiple machines • Prepare the tooling requirements as specified in the Setup Instructions • Readying parts for the machining process by inserting manually into work holding devises on the machines as instructed in a job order packet provided with each assignment. • Execute the machining process for first article inspection and subsequent machining of the components after signed approval from Quality Assurance Dept. • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor What We Are Looking For • Must be able to setup, program, and run CNC Machines. Experience in horizontal/vertical milling preferred. • Able to read, interpret, and utilize metric prints and tools. • Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices. • Ability to multitask • Extremely detail oriented • Team player • Desire and ambition to acquire knowledge in the field of machining • Decision making skills • Mechanical skills • Self-Motivated • Initiative: Dedicated to self-development and learning • Dependable: Follows instructions, responds positively to direction, works diligently to complete task in a timely manner and makes it a priority to meet the work schedule required.
