Machine Operator - Post Cast - 1st Shift

Job Summary: This position works in our Post Cast department, removing the ceramic shell from the cast metal parts before the parts move to Final Finish. Duties and Responsibilities: • Works with stationary and handheld grinders, grit blast cabinets and hand gauges. • Operations include but are not limited to Ceramic mold removal, abrasive metal cutting, plasma metal cutting, grinding metal, sand blasting, metal shot blasting, metal excavation, weld repair, weld blending, sizing, straightening. • Sorting / inspecting parts. • Follow written work instructions and tech cards. • Scan routers and input data in a computer. • Maintain tools and equipment. • Must be able to participate in ongoing training. • Must comply with all safety requirements. • Keep work area clean and free from debris. • Follow instructions and records information daily. Schedule: • 1st (Day) Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm Work Environment: • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels). • Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. • Occasionally lifts 25 – 45 lbs.
