Job Summary: Provide direct technical support to operators while maintaining production throughput in machining area. Assist engineering with development of machining processes for new or revised product. Lead and participate in problem solving and correction efforts with Root Cause Analysis as well as identifying and implementing corrective measures or improvements. Assist engineering to establish and maintain processes, equipment, manufacturing and quality planning instructions. Support and provide technical skill training in the area. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist Engineering with development of tech cards and machining processes • Assist engineering to identify, develop, test and implement work holding fixtures or inspection tools and fixtures • Assist machining teams with technical support on tech cards and part drawings • Closely support and monitor FAI/NPI/process improvements through machining department • Monitor and improve machining processes for improved performance in First Time Yield, efficiency, losses, cost out, or other metrics • Work with Final Finish teams on immediate solutions for technical issues • Develop and update training for machinists, provide or facilitate training for new employees • Provides technical support as necessary to all shifts • Other duties as necessary or assigned Schedule Options: • Day (1st) Shift: 6am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday Work Environment: • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels). • Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. • Occasionally lifts 25 – 45lbs. This may include, but is not limited to, Production, Inspection, Engineering or other related technical experience or training. • History of hands-on involvement and ability to troubleshoot and correct technical issues. • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents. • Proficiency in MS Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. • Background in or knowledge of manufacturing quality systems. • Near vision acuity in at least one eye (natural or corrected) of Jaeger No.1, at 12 to 16 inches • Normal color vision or adequate color vision to distinguish between colors found in the applicable inspection process. • Must read, write, speak English • Legal authorization to work in the United States Desired Characteristics: • Proven ability to take action and solve problems immediately. • Familiar with “Lean Manufacturing” and/or Six Sigma techniques. • Proven planning and leadership ability of multiple and concurrent projects • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills. Job Summary: This position works in our Post Cast department, removing the ceramic shell from the cast metal parts before the parts move to Final Finish. Duties and Responsibilities: • Works with stationary and handheld grinders, grit blast cabinets and hand gauges. • Operations include but are not limited to Ceramic mold removal, abrasive metal cutting, plasma metal cutting, grinding metal, sand blasting, metal shot blasting, metal excavation, weld repair, weld blending, sizing, straightening. • Sorting / inspecting parts. • Follow written work instructions and tech cards. • Scan routers and input data in a computer. • Maintain tools and equipment. • Must be able to participate in ongoing training. • Must comply with all safety requirements. • Keep work area clean and free from debris. • Follow instructions and records information daily.
