Gem State Machine is a young up and coming CNC Machine shop located in Idaho Falls, ID. Started in June 2022 the company’s vision is to provide high quality machine shop services such as cnc milling and cnc turning. Gem State Machine services customers in industries such as powersports, agriculture, nuclear, defense, tooling, and food processing. We are searching for a self-motivated full-time machinist with great attention to detail to fulfill these duties and responsibilities. Hours 4x 10 hour shifts a week. ```Duties``` · Morning machine warm up/maintenance procedures · Decide any needed tooling to finish and complete up coming parts · Be proficient in 3d modeling and CAM programming via Fusion 360 · Competent in setting up, and probing in all tools and work pieces to accurately machine parts · Not required but beneficial, competent in setting up cnc lathes via “touching off” tools · Be able to follow and fill out Gem State Machines process & inspection sheets · Consistently and accurately measure parts via calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, Renishaw probe, etc · Understand how to read GD&T and how to machine parts in relation to GD&T call outs · Deburr parts by hand as necessary · Cut own stock as needed · Design and machine fixtures for complicated parts · Assist where needed to help Gem State Machine grow ```Experience``` - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist - Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments - Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively - Experience with Okuma Mills and Fanuc controller Lathes/Mills is a plus but not necessary - Knowledge of CAD/CAM software, experience with fusion 360 is a plus If you have the skills and experience required for this position, we would love to hear from you.
