Experience with SolidWorks, CAD, as well as FUSION 360 programs. Must have knowledge of all G-Codes and how to set up, program and operate HAAS machines with 4-5 Axis. Be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be able to receive job specifications and manufacture according to DOE and Naval requirements. Government Contract Experience a plus. Design tooling/fixtures, select tools, write programs, make proto@type pieces, and make one of kind pieces from a sample. Hold close tolerances. Estimate and quote new production and proto@type work. Must be able to read prints and have excellent math skills including trigonometry. Duties and Responsibilities: • Reads production job specification sheet to ensure the correct components are being used for the job and determines machine adjustments to put in the correct dosage of product. • Recommends to supervisor the amount of labor needed to produce the job effectively and efficiently. • Able to set up, clean and change over machinery quickly from one product to another. • Oversees staff on the line are meeting throughput and quality requirements for the job. • Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or manufacturing standards. • Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine and stop machine. • Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. • Measures workpiece dimensions, using rule, manufacturing standard, or other measuring instruments to determine accuracy of machine operation. • Performs minor machine maintenance. • Maintain a safe and clean workspace and environment. • Communicates with maintenance, Crew Lead and/or Shift Lead on machine problems. • Sets up machinery to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces. • Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct threat to the individual or others. • Transfer finished products around plant and warehouse using hand truck or pallet jack. • Connect pump and hoses to machinery securely to transfer bulk from containment vessel to machine and from tote to barrels or pails when needed. • Check the Batch Ticket Bill of Materials/Component Sheet to be sure all parts are accounted for and that they are correct.
