Description: Shift: Day Shift Monday - Fridays Position/Job Summary Sets up and operates numerically controlled horizontal/vertical lathe/mill to perform machining operations (turning, boring, facing, threading) using castings, billet, and bar stock. Reads process sheets/work instructions and blueprints to determine machining to be performed. Requirements: Education/Skills/Abilities • High school diploma or G.E.D. • Prefer at least 1 year of machining experience • General programming skills. • Basic shop math (addition, subtraction, trigonometry). • Blueprint reading and GD&T skills. • Ability to perform part inspection using inspection equipment. • Good understanding of gage calibration. • Ability to perform own set-ups helpful. • Basic understanding of Quality Systems. • Technical trade certification or related experience. • Solid communication and teamwork skills. • A team player, willing to take on extra tasks as necessary and create/maintain healthy working relationships. Physical Demands & Work Environment • Working conditions are normal for both the office and manufacturing environment. • While performing duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand (for moderate to long periods of time), walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
