Job description Job Title: CNC Machinist ~ Lathe department Reports To: Team Lead FLSA Status: Non Exempt Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm Salary: $20 - $30/hr. Depending on experience Summary A CNC Machinist is able to program, setup and operate a variety of machines uses company supplied resources. They are a craftsman and are responsible for their quality of work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Create machining programming and production plans using Mastercam 2024 • Post and load programs into the machine • Set up and replaces tools without supervision • Load material in machine. Start machine and observe cutting operation • Make offsets independently to finish the set up process • Compare numerical data display with specifications on operations sheet • Adjust tool lengths and fixture offsets if required • Monitor tooling usage for maximum cost effectiveness • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the part. Authorized to stop processes to ensure quality • Responsible for machine turnovers to adjacent shift operators • Follow direction from team lead, shop foreman, and general manager in order to facilitate work processes • Maintain a clean work space.
