Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our MFG TEAM! As the Manufacturing Machine Operator, we need someone to operate production equipment, monitor production parameters and make decisions on when to adjust the process. Primary Objective: Operates production equipment, monitors production parameters, inspects or tests product for conformance to specifications, records data, and makes decisions on when to adjust the process or contact supervision for guidance. Major Function and Scope: • Operates motor vehicles, other vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools as assigned. • Repairs, maintains, and/or monitors the performance and/or operation of equipment, machinery, and /or manufacturing process as assigned to insure proper function and prevent disruption. • Operates production equipment according to standard operating procedures. • May function as a sorter, box assembler, or relief operator for the kiln or automatic sorting equipment. • Conducts tests or inspections as required on the control plan and according to test methods. • Performs additional job tasks as documented in the job task check sheet. • May stop production equipment when a safety, quality, or mechanical problem prevents equipment use or conformance to product requirements. • Follows ISO operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified. • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor. • Keeps area safe, clean, and organized. • Performs other related duties as required. Experience and Knowledge Required: • High school diploma or equivalent experience. • 1 year Manufacturing experience preferred.
