Responsibilities • Check CNC machinery is in good working order before set up • Set up machinery to successfully conduct the run as specified • Refers to drawings, sketches, manuals, books, charts, military specifications and process sheets. • Ensures specification conformance of product, process and workmanship and documents findings on personal computers and/or other data acquisition devices as required. • Conduct all programming as required • Monitor the run throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met • Perform all necessary machine maintenance • Follow safety standards at all times • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately • Keep all work areas clean and organized Technical Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role • Must be capable of working with tools range from various sizes and types of horizontal and vertical boring mills, boring bars, clamps, fixtures, angle plates, CNC equipment perishable tooling, chucks, dies, grinders, sanders and various hand tools (i.e. wrenches, pliers, etc.), measuring and test equipment (i.e. Versa and height gauges), personal computer and/or other data acquisition devices (i.e. bar-coding and datamyte). • Able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or greater • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time Soft Skills • Must be able to pass background check, drug screening and physical examination.
