REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities and Grounds JOB GOAL: To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of the schools is available at all times. Performance Responsibilities: • Assumes primary responsibility for the safe condition of all HVAC systems in the facilities owned or operated by the district; • Operate computerized HVAC systems including programming HVAC systems as needed; • Ability to diagnose problems with HVAC equipment using appropriate diagnostic equipment; • Examines district owned HVAC equipment and performs preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment and other equipment as assigned; • Makes necessary repairs on district HVAC systems, to include ordering and replacing parts as needed; • Uses district’s energy-saving, computerized monitoring system for heating and ventilation; • Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase, and maintains the inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and supplies; • Makes required boiler checks and pool checks as scheduled; • Plows and removes snow as required; • Assists other maintenance workers in repair of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, as needed; • Performs all other tasks as from time to time directed by the Director of Facilities and Grounds. Performance Requirements: • Must be able to climb ladders and perform job function on roofs • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
