Classification: Non-Exempt Status: Full-Time Reports to: Service Manager Location: Santa Fe Area Summary/Objective Performs supervisory responsibilities for managing all aspects of the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilating, and related systems. This individual is responsible for planning, assigning, participating in, and supervising the work of air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and helpers in the efficient operation, maintenance, and installation of air conditioning, refrigeration, and related systems Work also includes preparing cost estimates of repair and installation projects. Essential Functions 1. Plans, assigns and schedules projects 2. Supervises the work of skilled and unskilled workers in maintaining and repairing air conditioning, refrigeration and related mechanical systems and equipment 3. Conducts regular inspections of work in progress and on completion. 4. Provides technical assistance in the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. 5. Study developments in refrigerants, equipment and practices and utilizes findings in the installation and maintenance of equipment. 6. Recruits and trains personnel in the safe operation of equipment and tools. 7. Establishes and enforce safety regulations, work performance standards, rules and working conditions. 8.
