Job description Overview ABOUT US: JAT Mechanical, Inc. is Licensed, Bonded and Insured with an MM-98 License with 18 + years in Business in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. We are a Friendly, Close-Knit Group seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our Team. We enjoy morning Staff Meetings with Coffee and Donuts and regularly meet for Company paid Lunches! ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The HVAC Technician will work in various settings, including residential and commercial locations, ensuring optimal performance and comfort for our clients. Responsibilities • Install new HVAC systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. • Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficient operation. • Diagnose and repair issues with air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration systems. • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand system layouts. • Conduct field service calls to assess customer needs and provide solutions. • Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory used. • Collaborate with Customers and other Team Members to address HVAC-related concerns in a timely manner. • Maintain Good Driving Record Skills • Proficient in air conditioning troubleshooting, installation and repair techniques. • Strong knowledge of property maintenance practices related to HVAC systems. • Experience with refrigerant handling and recovery processes. • Familiarity with HVAC/R tools and equipment for effective troubleshooting. • Ability to read schematics and technical documents related to HVAC systems. • Mechanical aptitude with a focus on problem-solving skills in field service settings. • Knowledge of boiler operation and maintenance is a plus. • Knowledge of Electrical is Preferable as it relates directly to HVAC. • Knowledge of Plumbing is a Plus but not required. • Communicaton Skills with Customers and other Team Members is a Plus Join our dedicated team of professionals where your expertise in HVAC will contribute significantly to the comfort and satisfaction of our clients!
