Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and field service experience. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and appliance systems in residential settings. The technician will ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction through expert service and technical proficiency. Duties • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on various mechanical and electrical components using schematics and HVAC design principles. • Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems when necessary. • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues. • Repair or replace equipment such as compressors, motors, valves, and other mechanical parts. • Perform welding or other mechanical repairs as needed for system integrity. • Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC and refrigeration systems. • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. • Maintain detailed service records for each job performed. • Communicate effectively with clients regarding system issues and recommended solutions. Qualifications • Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair. • Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, schematics, and HVAC design principles. • Mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, equipment repair, welding, and boiler systems preferred. • Field service experience with property maintenance or appliance repair is advantageous. • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately. • Strong troubleshooting skills using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driver preferred. • Construction or property maintenance background is beneficial. • Mechanical or technician experience in refrigeration or HVAC/R fields highly desirable.
