See More Details >>Job Title: HVAC Technician Expected Pay Rate: $40 - $55 per hour About the Job: The HVAC Technician will plan, design, renovate, and install, HVAC equipment at OCONUS and CONUS customer sites. Key Responsibilities: • Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including, but not limited to, refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers and forced air converter units. • Perform general maintenance functions for HVAC systems. • Perform skilled electrical repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and wiring systems. • Operate site material handling equipment to include forklifts, trucks, and work carts. • Perform general construction tasks at customer sites as necessary per project scope and schedule. • Coordinate customer HVAC service calls when required. • Repair company HVAC equipment as needed. Requirements: • A comprehensive understanding of HVAC equipment, installation, repair, and system design • All appropriate licenses to purchase and use refrigerant gases • Knowledge of applicable building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC, refrigeration, and boilers • Knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic controls, welding techniques and soldering techniques • Knowledge of materials and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems • Demonstrable ability to calibrate HVAC systems • Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, owner's manuals, equipment schematics and work orders • Ability to develop HVAC and mechanical cost estimates based off of construction documents • Demonstrable ability to use hand tools of the construction trades • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills • General knowledge of safe working practices • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability • Ability to take direction and work well with a team
