Job Description Summary PRIMARY FUNCTION The Industrial HVAC Technician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of site chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems chiller systems. Job Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES HVAC Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, predictive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems and Controls. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of HVAC equipment. Schedule and perform maintenance activities according to established protocols. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, malfunctions, and failures in system. Analyze and resolve complex problems efficiently and safely. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working with energized equipment. Ensure that safety protocols are followed by yourself and the team. This includes following all NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs. Keep up-to-date documentation of HVAC systems, including schematics and diagrams. Maintain required EPA records for refrigerant leaks and equipment disposals. Emergency Response: Be on-call for emergency HVAC repairs and respond promptly to minimize downtime and safety risks. Analyzes problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair. Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes. Work at heights in scissor lifts and boom lifts Operate fork trucks for material movement and unloading of deliveries. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Order materials and parts for job execution. Flex as necessary to support other trades Use current CMMS work order system to process and complete job assignments and to track ordering of parts & materials. Access Building Management System to review HVAC systems and make changes if needed. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must have: EPA Refrigerant Certification Must have at least one of the following: AAS degree in Mechanical or Plant Utilities Technology AOS degree in HVAC or Construction & Maintenance Military Training Course in related field Journeyman Credentials The base pay range for this position is $33.35 to $41.24 (Inclusive of a $5.28 per hour transition adder). The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases.
