HVAC Installer

Overview: Assemble, install, or repair HVAC equipment per specifications and manufacturer’s recommendations. High Level Job Functions: • Installation of all types of HVAC equipment, piping, control wiring, thermostats, motors, control boards, etc.. • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using soldering, brazing, or welding equipment. • Review blueprints, submittals, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures. • Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools. • Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes and equipment in place. • Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of HVAC systems or components. • Material, tool, and equipment ordering, receiving, and returning Required 2 years of experience in HVAC installations Detailed Job Functions: • Understanding of drain and lineset connection requirements • Cut, bend, or thread pipe for gas, air, or water lines • Move or fit heavy objects • Understand construction specifications • Assemble and install pipe sections, fittings, and HVAC equipment • Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand • Pressure test piping system or equipment for leaks • Adhere to safety procedures • Perform safety inspections in construction or resource extraction setting • Maintain or repair work tools or equipment • Braze or Solder copper tubing or components together • Use hand or power tools • Use pressure gauges • Use oral or written communication techniques • Determine installation, service, or repair needed • Determine material or tool requirements Physical Requirements: • Spend Time Bending or Twisting the Body • Spend Time Keeping or Regaining Balance • Spend Time Making Repetitive Motions • Spend Time Standing, Walking, and Climbing • Spend Time Using Your Hands to Handle, Control, or Feel Objects, Tools, or Controls

Overview: The HVAC Services Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and mechanical components/equipment. Performs Service projects/small jobs from beginning to completion and insure total customer satisfaction throughout. Responsibilities: • Installation and commission of a wide variety of HVAC & refrigeration equipment. • Performs maintenance of HVAC & refrigeration equipment such as atmospheric boiler, water-cooled chiller. • Performs energy recovery ventilator service, hydronic AHU & FCU service and repair. • Establishes and maintain clear communications with customers while both on and off the customer job sites. • Assists in maintain inventory and tool procurement of individual service vehicle. • Promotes and performs all aspects of company safety procedures and policies. Qualifications: Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications • Maintenance experience with chillers, boilers, pumps, AHU's and other equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot, possessing mechanical and diagnostic skills. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications • Current Licensed Technician or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC & refrigeration systems. • Holds an EPA Certification. • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification. Travel Requirements • 0-5 % of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical/Work Environment Requirements • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles. • Climbing stairs. • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. • Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods. • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. • Operating machinery and/or power tools. • Operating motor vehicles. • Low indoor temperature. • High indoor temperature. • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind. • Noisy environment. • Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
