Commercial HVAC Technician

As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician at Louisiana Controls, you are a top-notch, perseverant, eager technician who loves to challenge yourself. You are able to decipher and troubleshoot technical issues with most manufacturers and enjoy the opportunity to speak with peers to enhance your skill set every day. At Louisiana Controls, you will gain knowledge and experience by getting your hands on a wide variety of equipment ranging from 2-ton DX Split systems all the way up to large tonnage chill water systems. This work consists specifically at commercial facilities. Little to no attic work is required. You will go home safely to your family each and every day. Pay is negotiable, depending upon your skillset! We are currently evaluating resumes for service technicians that are comfortable working on smaller systems, such as light commercial package units and mini splits as well as seasoned technicians capable of working on chill water systems. Rest assured, if you would like to join our team, there is room for growth, and we are willing to train you on larger systems. Job Description • Ability to troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment. This could include things like mini splits, DX split systems, package units, etc... • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and preemptively spot problematic unit components. • Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems. • Ability to change parts such as compressors, relays, contactors, etc... • Ability and comfortability working on field management software from company provided phone. • Some familiarity with chill and hot water systems is preferred but not required. An openness to learn about these systems if unfamiliar is encouraged. • Basic familiarity with building automation systems or other components such as VAV boxes is preferred. • Uses of OEMs, or collaboration with fellow coworkers/office personell to diagnose and repair units. • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required on rotational on call schedule. Qualifications: • EPA certified • Louisiana driver’s license/clean DMV records. • Clean background with no felonies. • Ability to pass a drug test. • Ability to work overtime if necessary. • Works well with others. • Experience with troubleshooting/repairs to commercial HVAC equipment. • Minimum of 5-7 years of Commercial HVAC service experience. Primary Purpose: Moore Industries is in search of a Lead HVAC Technician / Supervisor with a proven track record who take pride in providing quality service to clients within the industrial and/or commercial sectors.
