HVAC/R Technician

• Received Top Workplaces in 2025* GENERAL SUMMARY: The HVAC Tech is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant. Conducts under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment, plumbing repairs, and HVAC repairs. Essential Job Duties: • Responsible for troubleshooting, ordering and installing parts on all HVAC & refrigeration equipment. Maintains inventory on all HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and supplies. • Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces and recharges R 22, R 410-A and R-134 systems. • Uses all HVAC related tools and equipment as required. • Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor. • Performs equipment repairs. • Assists in testing fire alarm and emergency generator systems. Participates in fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises. • Assist contractors in the testing, inspection or repair of equipment, utility/emergency systems and structure. • Accomplishes all work assignments in the order of priority set by supervisor. • Completes work orders in a timely manner or as directed. • Complies fully with and treats all residents, families, co-workers, management and stakeholders of Christwood in accordance to our hospitality standards. Other Duties: • Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in good working order. Secures tool storage areas assuring work and storage areas are neat and orderly. • Performs specific duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. • Maintenance personnel are considered essential staff and are required to be available for ALL EMERGENCIES including hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires, freezes and snow events. • Attends in-service training and educations sessions as assigned. Qualifications: • High School education, technical schooling and/or background preferred. • Previous experience as an HVAC technician. • Universal Refrigerant certified. • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively and performs simple arithmetic. • Five years' experience required. HVAC Lead Residential Installer

Job Title: HVAC Lead Installer - Level 5 Job Summary: It is the responsibility of Lead Level 5 to install advanced HVAC systems and any other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner with a helper. A wide degree of creative design is expected along with the ability to lead and run a multiple crew install. Job Duties: Work safely following company policies. • Install HVAC-related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications. • Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment. • Create a proper workspace for the equipment being used (platform/transitions/plenums/etc.). • Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing. • Install sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings. • Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment. • Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for install. • Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job. • Provide assistance to other leads as directed by management. • Provide training to helpers and prospective leads. • Demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors. • Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job. • Take all readings on a machine and understand the importance of such. • Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle. • Any other assigned duties as directed by management.
