Job Summary As an HVAC Installer, you’ll handle complete installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. From setting equipment and running ductwork to startup and testing, you’ll make sure every install meets our standards and satisfies the customer. Key Responsibilities • Integrate BAS controls with Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes, dampers, and zone thermostats to regulate air distribution and comfort levels. • Configure BAS to control chiller and boiler setpoints based on building load and outdoor air conditions. • Diagnose communication problems between the BAS and HVAC equipment, ensuring proper signal transmission. • Collaborate with HVAC technicians to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions that might impact BAS functionality • Possess a working knowledge of chiller operation, including capacity control, staging, and chilled water loop optimization through BAS control. • Understand boiler operation principles and be familiar with BAS integration for efficient boiler sequencing and combustion control. • Clearly document all BAS configuration changes, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance activities related to the HVAC system. • Communicate effectively with building occupants regarding potential HVAC issues identified through the system. • Facilitate HVAC equipment repairs or replacements. Job Requirements: • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working on HVAC systems and associated equipment • NATE certification (required) • Universal CFC Certification (required) • High school diploma or equivalent • HVAC License (preferred) • HVAC Excellence or UA Star Certification (preferred) • Communicate effectively in English in speaking and writing • Advanced HVAC training and manufacturer training • Extensive technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning maintenance and repairs • Ability to diagnose refrigeration systems, air distribution systems and equipment controls • Able to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed for emergencies • Must be able to respond to after-hours emergency calls • Good physical condition with ability to lift 75 lbs. and possessing good fine motor coordination and ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, heights, and confined spaces • U.S. Citizen or approved registered alien • Ability to pass drug screening and Federal Government criminal background check • Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): The HVAC Technician is subject to hazards. Weekly • Reconcile and verify technician timesheets in the Service Titan and Paylocity Payroll System. • Print timecard reports for Foreman approval and Payroll processing. • Email weekly operations and performance reports. • Register newly installed units with manufacturers. Monthly • Reconcile vendor billing statements with invoices in QuickBooks for Accounts Payable.
