Industrial Equipment Technician

Equipment Service Specialist Job Role: The Equipment Service Specialist performs regular equipment maintenance, repairs and upgrades to ensure optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct routine inspections and servicing of machinery to prevent breakdowns. • Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment; repair or replace parts as needed. • Record and report equipment damage or malfunctions, ordering replacement parts when necessary. • Prepare detailed reports documenting work performed. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, inventorying tools and supplies as needed. • Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on equipment. • Collaborate with department heads regarding new equipment additions and modifications required. • Implement test runs, confer with product manager on test results and make adjustments as needed. • Identify opportunities for improvement and present solutions to leadership. • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory. • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned. Education and Certifications: • High School diploma or equivalent. • Vocational certificate in appropriate field (mechanical, electrical, etc.) preferred. • Ability to pass internal required testing. Experience and Qualifications: • Mechanical aptitude with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc. to diagnose equipment issues. • Good computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate software. • Effective communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of organization professionally. • Ability to handle and resolve most issues efficiently. • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and projects. • Strong customer-centric attitude and high energy level. Safety Requirements: • Follow established safety policies and procedures. • Wear required PPE in all areas where mandatory. Physical Demands: • Ability to work extended shifts as business requires. • Ability to work in cold/humid or hot/dusty environments as needed. • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc. with ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to service equipment. • Must be able to visually inspect equipment. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
