Job Description: Orbis is seeking candidates for work on a professional services contract in support of Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Aircraft Carrier Readiness Support. Orbis provides Professional Engineering Assistance, which includes Engineering Technical Expertise, Engineering Graphic Solutions, Configuration Data Management, Environmental Engineering, and Hazardous Waste/Material Handling to ensure the protection of personnel and the environment. Orbis also delivers Production Control Functions, Material and Logistical Coordination, Quality Assurance, and Computer-Related Capabilities. These efforts aid USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) class aircraft carriers in matters related to readiness, maintenance, modernization advance planning, work package development and integration, and work package execution. Required Skills and Experiences: • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in heating and air conditioning systems is required, including at least two (2) years of general experience in the maintenance and/or modernization of HVAC systems onboard an aircraft carrier. HVAC Technician

Immediate Opening for a detail-oriented HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems from installation and fire offs, to end-of-life service, by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent communication, organizational & troubleshooting skills. Tech Responsibilities: • Maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and equipment • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing heating/cooling systems, and performing warranty services • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently • Clear and concise documentation of invoices and job packets and job files for customers and office personnel that accurately describes events of the service call and any recommendations • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements • Assisting with customers' queries Tech Requirements: • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent • Proficient in using electronic devices for dispatching & billing customers • 3+ years experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field • Valid driver's license AND Insurable. • Valid electrical (06-A/B) license or trainee card with hours • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration & heating • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans • Proficient in navigating vendor technical websites for set up of HVAC Systems • Ability to work in confined spaces • Ability to lift 50 lbs Benefits: • Simple IRA • Dental, health & vision insurance • Paid holidays, vacation & sick leave Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: • Signing bonus Education: • High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: • Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred) • HVAC: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: • EPA Type II (Preferred) Work Location: In person
