Electrician - Nights

We require the skills of an Electrician/Maintenance Technician, with an electrical focus, to join our talented Maintenance team, who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the building and equipment as required. JOB FUNCTION: Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and associated electronic and instrumentation controls. Ability to solve or troubleshoot mechanical problems will be an asset. Operate and monitor multifunction process control machinery and equipment to control the processing of paper and other cellulose materials in the production of pulp. QUALIFICATIONS: o Minimum of 3 years industrial experience. o Proof of formal training in specialty areas (i.e., Pneumatics, Hydraulics, mechanical, PLC’s, Instrumentation, etc.) o Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. o Proficiency or ability to learn electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. o Proficiency or ability to learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic. o Proficiency or ability to learn to install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, fixtures and other electrical components. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: o Install machinery and equipment according to electrical code and circuit drawing using hand and power tools; o Perform all work with adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures o Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals. o Install industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools o Adjust machinery to repair or replace defective parts o Connect electrical power to communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems. o Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. o Startup, shutdown, setup and adjust equipment as required o Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions o Train or assist in training new workers o Maintain and complete records in our CMMS System. Electrical Assembly Technician

Backgound: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment, and a commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities ● Assemble electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, circuit boards, and enclosures using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment. ● Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical assembly instructions. ● Solder, crimp, and terminate wires and connectors to IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent standards. ● Perform functional testing, continuity checks, and basic troubleshooting using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools. ● Inspect assemblies for quality, proper fit, and compliance with specifications. ● Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or process improvements. ● Maintain accurate production records, including work logs, test results, and inventory tracking. ● Follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols and cleanroom procedures when required. ● Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues. ● Adhere to all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and hazard communication. Qualifications: Required ● High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electromechanical technology, or related field preferred. ● 2+ years of experience in electrical/electronic assembly in a manufacturing environment. ● Proficient in soldering (through-hole and surface-mount) and wire termination techniques. ● Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and BOMs (bill of materials). ● Experience using multimeters, function generators, and basic test equipment. ● Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. ● Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP/MRP systems). Preferred ● IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification. ● Experience with automated assembly equipment or robotic soldering systems. ● Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology. ● Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards. Physical Requirements ● Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. ● Lift and maneuver up to 35 lbs occasionally. ● Fine motor skills for handling small components and tools. ● Visual acuity to inspect small parts and read fine print. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) in Rolla, Missouri, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Engineering. Areas of interest include Computer Architecture, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other emerging fields; however, outstanding candidates in all areas of Computer Engineering will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program, teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and mentor graduate students. In addition, the candidate will have opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations through S&T’s many research centers, including the Kummer Institute Center for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, the world-renowned Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Laboratory, and strong partnerships with industry and government research sponsors.
