Industrial Electrician

Industrial Electrician-Engineering Team At the independent Stave Company, the Industrial Electrician working with our engineering group will inspect, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role must ensure all work meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. As an electrician, you will use various tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, and testing equipment. We seek candidates with at least two years of journeyman-level electrical experience. Travel: This role may require travel from time to time. Depending on the work needed, a work-related trip may last 1 to 2 days or the entire week. Work-related travel generally consists of 10% of your annual time. Schedule: A regular schedule consists of Monday-Friday, 7:00-4:30. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Electrician Role Work closely with engineers and mechanics to install new in-house custom-built equipment. Facilitate the change-over of power and control equipment associated with the movement of machines and plant layout modifications. Wire Machinery Work with programmable controllers and computer process controls. Assemble enclosures and panels. Read electrical schematics and other documents to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment. Diagnose & Troubleshoot machinery and equipment, make needed repairs Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties Skills/Experience Ability to troubleshoot 24V DC, 110V AC, 240V AC, and 480V AC circuity Experience with control devices: prox switches, limit switches, buttons, photo eyes, etc. Experience with Allen Bradley VFDs, a plus Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, a plus 2+ Years Field Experience or 2 Year Electrical Course This position's working environment and physical requirements are typical of a manufacturing environment.
