Commercial Electrician

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and creative electrician eligible to perform commercial work in the state of Texas. You will be asked to take on the completion of a pending commercial electrical installation in a new buildout. The project is about 85% complete and needs a creative and adaptive individual in order to troubleshoot any pending tasks and work with stakeholder requirements to design a modern and eye-catching lighting experience for customers. NOTE THAT THIS JOB IS A CONTRACT FOR A TIME-SENSITIVE AND SPECIFIC JOB, but we are actively seeking a creative electrician/lighting designer to join our growing design team and will have job opportunities lined up for the candidate who is able to complete the duties of this job. Job Summary The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting within commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and safety standards to ensure efficient and safe operations on construction sites. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems. • Utilize various tools including hand tools, power tools, and ohmmeters for installation and troubleshooting tasks. • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic equipment. • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role in a construction environment. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation techniques. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. • Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards. • Experience with logic controllers is preferred. • Ability to work effectively with hand tools and power tools. • Frame carpentry skills are a plus but not required. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
