Responsibilities: • Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follow diagrams/blueprints to ensure proper installation. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using hand and power tools. • Pull wiring through conduit, assisted by helper. • Splice wires and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment. • Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads. • Test continuity of circuits using instruments such as ohmmeter, oscilloscope, or battery/buzzer. • Observe installed equipment for hazards or the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. • Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems as needed. • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment. • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. • Comply with all safety procedures and project rules, including LOTO and other protocols. • Perform other duties as assigned.
