Construction Site Maintenance Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safe and clean construction sites, assisting with demolition and construction tasks, operating hand and power tools, and supporting carpentry work. Responsibilities: • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards, keeping areas free of rubble and debris. • Assist with construction demolition and repairs on structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, decks, and roofs. • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on hand and power tools. • Assist carpenters by retrieving necessary tools and equipment. • Install hardware including locks, hinges, knobs, and closures. • Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities. • Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones as needed. • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery and materials. • Dig ditches or trenches, compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, and rakes. • Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out construction areas. • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools. • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures. Essential Skills & Qualifications: • Proficient in construction, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools. • Knowledge of concrete work. • Ability to perform a variety of strenuous manual labor tasks. • Effective verbal communication and understanding of written instructions. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Commitment to following safety and incident reporting procedures. • Dependability and consistency in meeting project schedules. Benefits & Work Environment: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Willmar, Minnesota. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
