Position Summary The Remodeling Carpenter plays a key role in the construction, repair, and maintenance of White Crane’s residential remodeling projects. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship, independence, and problem-solving ability. You’ll work on everything from rough framing to fine finish carpentry, punch-list items, site setup and cleanup, and material procurement. You’ll be expected to manage your time effectively, communicate clearly, and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and team members—all while delivering exceptional quality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Quality - Perform rough and finish carpentry, demolition, site setup, and punch-list tasks. - Deliver high-quality, code-compliant work that meets project specifications. - Maintain clean, safe, and protected job sites at all times. - Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively and professionally. Planning & Productivity - Review project scope, specs, and schedule before starting work. - Plan daily tasks, tools, and materials to maximize efficiency. - Set and meet daily production goals aligned with labor budgets and timelines. Client & Trade Partner Relations - Represent White Crane positively and professionally on all job sites. - Communicate client concerns to the Project Manager promptly and respectfully. - Foster a collaborative, respectful environment with trade partners. Material Procurement - Identify and procure materials as needed, including pickups and returns. - Maintain accurate records of receipts and cost codes. - Ensure proper care and storage of materials to minimize waste. Reporting & Communication - Submit daily hours and cost codes to the Project Manager. - Provide timely updates on project status, issues, and material needs. Safety & Compliance - Follow all safety protocols and lead-safe practices. - Identify and report hazardous conditions or unsafe practices. - Ensure compliance with OSHA and local building codes. Tool & Shop Maintenance - Maintain company tools and vehicles in clean, working condition. - Help organize and maintain the company shop and storage areas. Qualifications - 3+ years of residential remodeling experience. - Proficiency in framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry. - Strong understanding of building codes and construction best practices. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. - OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
