The key field positions that we hire include the following positions. Laborer The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Safely erect, use, and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, platforms, and temporary enclosures while working on multi-level structures and floor openings. • Transport materials, measure, cut, fabricate, place, and secure formwork, pour and finish concrete, and perform tasks such as patching, jackhammering, and applying coatings. • Additional duties include flagging, watchman responsibilities, light chipping, cleanup, and general material handling. Operator The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and cleaning of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. • Operate various equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and hoists, following safety standards and signal instructions. • Continuously monitor equipment condition, clean tracks or wheels, and use blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads. Carpenter The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Read and interpret blueprints while assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation. • Perform repairs and installations of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations. • Operate tools and equipment, assess material quality, provide excellent customer service, and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing. Cement Mason The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Set forms, clean and inspect surfaces, and direct concrete casting with the truck driver. • Pour, smooth, level, and compact concrete using handheld and power tools while monitoring weather effects on the curing process. • Apply sealing and hardening components, construct expansion joints, and polish surfaces using power surfacing machines. Brick Mason The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Interpret construction plans, measure distances, and determine material requirements to ensure accurate masonry work. • Mix and apply mortar, lay bricks or blocks, cut and shape materials, and install decorative or structural masonry elements. • Repair and restore masonry structures, check alignment and stability, clean excess mortar, and seal surfaces for a polished finish. All field employees will need to successfully complete a background check, standard drug test, and post-hire physical. High School Graduate Work Experience: • Minimum of three years in all phases of commercial construction. • Knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety. Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include: • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Viewpoint CS and Sage/Timberline experience desirable, but not necessary Demonstrated Professional Competencies to include: • Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions • Ability to work independently and complete activities according to work schedule • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long period of time • Ability to communicate orally and in writing The hourly pay rate for the Union Journeyman Carpenter position is $45.54.
