I own several apartment buildings in the Twin Cities area, mostly in western Wisconsin near New Richmond (WI), Osceola (WI), Ellsworth (WI), Faribault (MN) and Red Wing (MN). Between our 6+ buildings, we own approximately 90 residential units and approximately 10 commercial units. We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician / handyman / carpenter to be our go-to person for maintenance calls, service work, renovations, apartment turnovers, etc. I'm confident we would keep the right candidate busy between all of our properties. Several of the buildings we own currently have units that will need remodel work, a few of which are gutted to the studs. The ideal candidate would have experience doing build-outs and remodeling houses, including plumbing, electrical, sheet-rock, muding/taping, flooring, painting, etc. If you are looking for a new opportunity, I'd love to chat with you further about your skills, experiences, availability, hourly wage, etc. This would be a "cash” type job where we pay you a check or Venmo weekly or bi-weekly for your number of hours logged. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience, travel hours, etc. You would also need to provide your own tools, vehicle, etc. Desired Responsibilities - Repairs and maintains light commercial and/or multi-unit residential facilities - Repairs drywall, painted surfaces, hard surface materials, various floor coverings, suspended ceilings systems and other general carpentry/maintenance related tasks - Responds to plumbing and heating related emergencies, which may include after-hours response from normal daily work schedule in order to meet tenant needs - Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities - May periodically inspect work performed by contractors, vendors and other service providers to verify the work, materials and services meet quality standards, scope and specifications as required - Responds to all service requests, on-call emergencies as directed by the Property Manager, must be completed in a timely and professional manner - Assists in maintaining the exterior of the property to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times - Alerts Property Manager of any potential liabilities or repairs Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Evenings as needed • Monday to Friday • On call • Weekends as needed Application Question(s): • Do you own a truck or work van? • Do you own your own tools?
