Skilled Carpenter

Skilled Carpenter (form/concrete) IMCO General Construction Twin Falls, ID About the Position On a construction project, perform safe duties such as constructing a building framework, following blueprints, installing structures, etc.. This forming/concrete carpenter position will require skilled tasks on a heavy civil construction site. Operates hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying, and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May assist other craft workers. The Carpenter will frequently bend, reach, stand, walk, squat, sit, push, and pull heavy objects throughout the work shift. Ability to work in the sun, heat, and various climate conditions. Ability to work in dirty and dusty conditions. Requires manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment and perform manual responsibilities. Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance. Must be able to work with materials that include chemicals on occasion. Responsibilities This is an overview of responsibilities and may not include all duties required for the position. Layout Setting grades and squaring up structures Concrete knowledge Placement of foundations, flatwork, and vertical structures Understanding pressures, finishing, and curing Formwork Knowledge Wood, gang, and shoring form Ability to climb forms Setting large gang forms with hoisting equipment Follow daily work plans, reports, and complete timecards accurately Lift 50 pounds Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or company security operations for the protection of people and property. Project location and commitments Project Location – Twin Falls, Idaho 8–10-hour shifts Overtime may be available Evening/weekend work may be necessary to meet milestones Requirements and Qualifications 2 years of form/concrete carpentry experience Knowledge and understanding of reading plans and drawings with basic math skills. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and at heights Pre-employment drug testing, including THC Pre-employment criminal background check Adhere to all safety requirements Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity Compensation and Benefits Hourly Pay: $28-$38 depending on experience Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage is available on the first day of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.
