Job Description: Concrete Carpenter Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in forming, pouring, and finishing concrete for a variety of structures and surfaces. As a Concrete Carpenter, you will be responsible for building and assembling forms, placing reinforcement materials, and ensuring high-quality concrete finishes that meet project specifications. Duties: • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Build, assemble, and install wooden or metal forms for concrete structures, including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs. • Ensure forms are level, properly aligned, and secure to support the concrete during pouring and curing. • Measure, cut, and position rebar, wire mesh, or other reinforcement materials according to blueprints and specifications. • Assist in pouring concrete into forms, ensuring proper placement and compaction. • Smooth and level freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools, achieving specified textures and finishes. • Perform edge finishing, jointing, and curing processes as required. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements. • Mark and measure construction layouts with precision. • Communicate effectively with other construction team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met. Qualifications: • High School Diploma preferred but not required and pass a pre-employment drug screen. • Proven experience as a Concrete Carpenter or similar role in construction. • Proficiency in using carpentry tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment. • Strong understanding of formwork systems, concrete properties, and construction techniques. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Physical Requirements: • Lifting heavy materials up to 50+ lbs. • Standing, bending, stooping for long periods, and performing hands-on tasks.
