Description We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our Mountain Home, Idaho team. This role will start as a part-time position with the possible opportunity to transition to full-time in Spring 2025. If you’re a reliable craftsman passionate about quality work, we’d love to hear from you! Compensation Hourly Rate: $22.00–$30.00, depending on experience and skill level. Key Responsibilities • Install finish lumber, trim, doors, and other materials. • Read and interpret blueprints or plans to ensure specifications are met. • Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately. • Perform sanding, staining, and finishing tasks as required. • Drywall work: Experience in drywall installation, patching, and finishing is highly beneficial. Requirements • Experience: Minimum 2 years of finish carpentry experience is required. • Reliable transportation: Must have a dependable vehicle to get to and from job sites in and around Mountain Home, Idaho. • Background Check: Must pass a background check and be able to get onto Mountain Home AFB. • Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Physical ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. • Work ethic: Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and commitment to safety. • Location: Prefer candidates located in Mountain Home or immediately surrounding areas. Position: Skilled Carpenter (form/concrete) IMCO, a heavy civil general contractor, serves public and private clients throughout Washington, Montana, Oregon, and Idaho. About the Position: Perform safe duties such as constructing building framework, following blueprints, installing structures, etc., on a construction project. This forming/concrete carpenter position will require skilled tasks on a heavy civil construction site. Operates hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying, and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May assist other craft workers. The Carpenter will frequently bend, reach, stand, walk, squat, sit, push, and pull heavy objects throughout the work shift. Ability to work in the sun, heat, and various climate conditions. Ability to work in dirty and dusty conditions. Requires manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment and perform manual responsibilities. Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance. Must be able to work with materials that include chemicals on occasion. Brief Project Description: This project includes building a pump station and other structures alongside the Snake River. Responsibilities: This is an overview of responsibilities and may not include all duties required for the position. • Layout • Setting grades and squaring up structures. • Concrete Knowledge • Placement of foundations, flatwork, and vertical structures. • Understanding pressures, finishing, and curing. • Formwork Knowledge • Wood, gang, and shoring form. • Ability to climb forms. • Setting large gang forms with hoisting equipment. • Follow daily work plans, reports, and complete timecards accurately. • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or company security operations for the protection of people and property. Project Location and Commitments: • Project Location – Mt. Home, Idaho. • Project Duration – Full-time hours plus overtime as needed through winter. Additional jobs have been secured in the Treasure Valley area providing employees with stable, consistent work. • 8–10-hour shifts. • Overtime may be available. • Evening/weekend work may be necessary to meet milestones. Requirements and Qualifications: • 2 years of form/concrete carpentry experience. • Knowledge and understanding of reading plans and drawings with basic math skills. • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and at heights. • Pre-employment drug testing. • Pre-employment criminal background check. • Adhere to all safety requirements. • Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity.
