Overview We are searching for new members to join our crew. The type of person we are looking for will have at least some woodworking or carpentry experience, and familiarity with multiple basic power tools such as Miter saws, Table saws, Routers, Jig-saws, etc. Preferably having a full set of your own tools. Candidates will need to have reliable transportation (for themselves and their tools as needed), and be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team. The work is not inherently difficult, but it does require some finesse and attention to detail. A good candidate will be one that takes pride in their work and cares about a job well done, and can work at a steady pace. You do not have to already be an expert as we will train our processes for various parts of the job, but must be interested in learning the trade. Pay is exclusively piece rate. The more work accomplished in a given time period the more money earned for that period. We are looking for full time teammates, but will consider part-time flexible workers as well that are willing to work on demand to help with fluctuations in the workload. Responsibilities • Install "pre-hung" doors, measure, cut, and install casing and header • Measure, cut, and install baseboards, stair skirts, window sills • Layout and install of various accent wall designs and built-in benches and bookshelves • Load and unload tools upon arrival and departure of each jobsite • Tidy up and sweep at the end of each day • Frequent use of tape measures, table saws, miter saws, and other various tools • Split duties to collaboratively cover all parts of the workload at each jobsite Experience Candidates should possess: • At least 1 year or so of experience using basic power tools in a woodworking context • An ability to add and subtract fractions of an inch up to 1/16" • An ability to multiply and divide inches with results ending in fractions up to 1/16 of an inch • Reading basic blueprints, drawing blueprints for design layouts and built-in plans • Problem-solving skills and an ability to improvise, an artistic eye Finish Carpentry is a client favorite trade, We take pride in being a subcontracting company that contractors and homeowners love to use.
