Position: Civil / Carpenter Foreman Job Description: Loenbro is seeking experienced, skilled Carpenter Foreman for projects located in the Elko, NV area. In this position you will assist in the supervision of activities to assure optimum productivity and compliance. We are looking for a competent field supervisor to coordinate operations and oversee workers the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. The successful candidate will have a solid background in Civil site work and Industrial Carpentry Construction. Your leadership skills and your experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else. Job Duties: • Coordinates and supervises daily activities of crew. • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans. • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew. • Allocate general and daily responsibilities. • Supervise and train workers. • Ensure labor and resources are adequate. • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed. • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment. • Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget. • Resolve problems when they arise. • Report progress to managers, engineers etc. Skills/Qualifications: • 5+ years’ experience as a Civil Foreman OR Carpenter Foreman • Able to manage team members and multiple projects. • Knowledge of reading and interpreting sketches, blueprints, and detailed drawings • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans. • Ensure labor and resources. • Accurate and precise attention to detail. • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations • Excellent organizational and leadership skills • Outside most of the time. • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels. • Limited working surfaces • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights) • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks. • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following: • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search. • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day • Standing • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel. • Use of respirator if position requires. • Driving if required to travel.
