GLO Resources is seeking an experienced Bilingual Class A Form Carpenter/ Operator to join our team for local projects in Thibodaux, LA. The rate of pay depends on experience, ranging from $28–$30 per hour, with potential per diem depending on worksite location. The schedule is full-time M-F/ 10-hour dayssome weekends with heavy overtime based on project demands. Position Summary: The Class A Form Carpenter/ Operator will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, laying out constructing formwork, operating equipment such as skid steers and excavators, and managing crews and job sites to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. This is a leadership role that requires both hands-on carpentry/ operating skills and strong supervisory ability. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities: Layout and build frameworks, forms, wood forms, gang forms, and supports. Properly set up and use theodolite and laser. Tie rebar. Operate heavy equipment. • Construct and install wooden, steel, or concrete forms for pouring foundations, walls, columns, and slabs. • Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, or metal studs according to blueprints and specifications. • Use levels, squares, lasers, and transits to ensure precision. • Build, set, finish, properly vibrate concrete, and align forms for concrete structures according to specifications. • Perform formwork carpentry and concrete forming, including constructing wooden or metal-wood hybrid forms to hold concrete until it cures (e.g., treatment plant walls, foundations, and slabs). • Assist with framing and structural support work for equipment platforms, buildings, and underground utilities. • Ensure work is completed on schedule and meets quality and safety standards. • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades as needed. • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in proper working condition. • Assist with layout, measurements, and ensuring proper elevations. • Monitor progress, address issues promptly, and communicate effectively with leadership. • May be assigned other duties as needed. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Class A Form Carpenter (minimum 5 years). • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and blueprints. • Strong leadership and crew management skills supervising, training, mentoring, and leading crews on-site, delegating tasks effectively and promoting skill development/productivity. • In-depth knowledge of formwork systems, materials, and methods. • Hands-on experience with concrete forming systems such as Symons, Alisply, Meva, Job Built Plyform, and similar. (Preferred) • Ability to work independently and make on-the-job decisions. • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company standards. • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish. (Preferred) • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Minor finish carpentry may be required, but the primary focus of this role is framing and forming.
