CARPENTER

POSITION TITLE: Carpenter (Marine) DIVISION: Offshore REPORTS TO: Foreman/Supervisor/Superintendent FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt UPDATED DATE: May 1, 2025 DEPARTMENT: Insulation POSITION SUMMARY The Carpenter role is critical to our success. This position requires someone with experience in marine carpentry, including, but not limited to, galley, bunkroom, restrooms/showers, cement pouring, multiple style flooring, insulation, and paint. This individual collaborates closely with other operational teams and management to ensure that all equipment and parts are inspected and maintained to PES standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.) • Key responsibilities include a range of general construction tasks, notably carpentry, plumbing, flooring, and water intrusion repairs. • Remove and reinstall insulation. • Regularly inspect and ensure the equipment quality related to the job scope. • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs. • Consult with the job-site supervisor for all job information to complete company work tickets as required. • Ensure that safety protocols are followed. Maintain and properly use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toe boots, flame-resistant clothing, and gloves. • Troubleshoot as needed. • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • High School diploma or equivalent education • Experience in an Industrial setting • Basic written and verbal communication skills • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills • Must be reliable and have good time management skills • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at the time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen • For new hires, they must complete all training required by Performance Energy Services PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Stand – Frequently • Sit – Occasionally • Use Hands – Constantly • Climb – Occasionally • Kneel – Frequently • Lift/Carry over – Frequently (up to 50 lbs.) • Vision – Required (Must be able to pass vision exam per appropriate medical requirements) • Hearing – Required (Must be able to pass an audio test per OSHA standards) WORKING CONDITIONS • Wet or Humid (non-weather) – Occasionally • Working near moving mechanical parts – Frequently • Working in high places – Occasionally • Exposed to fumes or airborne particles – Constantly • Exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals – Occasionally • Outdoor weather conditions – Constantly • Risk of electric shock – Frequently • Work with explosives – None • Risk of radiation – Occasionally • Noise Level – Very Loud
