Carpenter - Full-time

Employment Type: Full-Time FSLA: Hourly/Non-Exempt Division: Riggs Department: Riggs Reports to: Labor Foreman / Project Manager Supervisory Duties: No Salary Range: $25 - $32/hour Carpenters are responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using a variety of materials, including wood, steel, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall. This role requires precision, physical strength, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures. Responsibilities / Essential Functions • Perform work efficiently, safely, and accurately to consistently meet production goals set by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager. • Prepare project layouts and accurately estimate height, width, length, and other necessary dimensions. • Read and interpret blueprints or instructions from supervisors. • Select appropriate materials for each task, including wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall. • Use hand and power tools such as chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to construct, install, and repair structures. • Join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. • Work at various heights using ladders, scaffolding, stilts, and top beams of buildings. • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets code and project specifications. • Install cabinetry, molding, partitions, doors, and windows. • Create structural supports for concrete work, including building forms and tunnel bracing. • Replace building components such as glass panes, ceiling tiles, and doors. • Move and install machinery as required. • Erect scaffolding and temporary structures as needed. • Follow all company safety and personnel policies and protocols. • Travel to all assigned job sites as required. • Perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting overhead, and walking/working in rough terrain to access tools, materials, and jobsite locations. • Work flexible hours as necessary to meet project and company goals.
