Experienced Carpenter

We are looking to hire an experienced frame-to-finish Carpenterwho can support the success of our projects during the production stage. Jobs will be located from Harpswell to Kennebunk, largely within one hour of our offices in Portland. As part of our field team, you will be working on the following: • Active on-site carpentry and general labor, from framing to finish, including general punch list, maintenance, and warranty work • Layout • High-performance and production framing • Air sealing • Energy & weatherization work • Siding and exterior trim detailing • Millwork installation • Interior trim • Flooring • Stair construction • Material handling - including at times pick up and delivery • Job site clean-up Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following: • 5+ years of frame to finish carpentry experiencerequired - ideally residential experience • Experience with all basic hand and power tools commonly used for construction/carpentry • Solid problem-solving and communication skills • An enthusiasm for craftsmanship • A positive attitude and a team player • Ability to work in a safe manner • Highly self-motivated • Ability to adjust to change: new situations, technologies, timelines, or challenges • Must have reliable transportation to work sites as far as an hour outside of Portland, ME Physical requirements: • Stand for 8-10 hours per day • Climb and work from stairs and ladders • Independently push, pull, carry, and lift up to 80 lbs • Safely work with sharp tools and power equipment • Bend, stoop, and work around wood dust and fumes • Work in indoor/outdoor environments subject to changing conditions and at times in inclement weather conditions • May be exposed to heights and loud noises • Manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination Our team and company culture are our greatest assets!
