Maine Design Build is a small but growing company in central Maine. We have renovation and new construction work lined up for the next few years. We are looking to grow our field team, interviews will be on a jobsite and employee will report to construction director. Responsibilities: - Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to blueprints and specifications - Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, using hand and power tools - Install windows, doors, and siding - Install drywall and insulation - Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area Skills: - Remodeling: Experience in remodeling projects, including demolition and reconstruction - Carpenter: Proficient in carpentry techniques and able to work with various materials - Construction Management: Knowledge of construction processes and ability to manage projects effectively - Drywall: Skilled in installing and finishing drywall to create smooth surfaces - Roofing: Experience in installing and repairing roofs using different materials - Restoration: Ability to restore damaged structures to their original condition - Heavy Equipment Operation: Familiarity with operating heavy machinery for construction purposes - Blueprint Reading: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and drawings - Welding: Knowledge of basic welding techniques for joining metal components - Plastering: Skilled in applying plaster to walls and ceilings for a smooth finish Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
