Job Title: Machine Assembler Job Description We are looking for a skilled assembler for our South Bend, IN location. The role involves working at heights, including on ladders, and requires precision in fastening joints and seams in sheet metal using fasteners and drivers. The successful candidate will ensure that all work meets quality specifications and adheres to safety guidelines. This is a team-oriented environment, and experience in teamwork or construction is advantageous. Responsibilities • Screw sheet metal panels together • Install insulation • Use power tools such as drills, grinders, and plasma cutting equipment • Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials • Utilize a calculator and tape measure • Fasten seams and joints together with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips to assemble components into a product • Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets • Assemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies • Maintain cleanliness of the work area Essential Skills • Previous mechanical assembly experience with large equipment • Experience in construction (carpentry, drywall, metal roofing, etc.) • Proficiency in using power tools such as drills, grinders, plasma cutting equipment, impacts, and saws • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch • Possession of steel-toed boots • Ownership of a basic set of hand tools (wrenches, socket wrenches) or ability to acquire them within two weeks of starting • Ability to lift 40 pounds Additional Skills & Qualifications • Ability to read and interpret blueprints Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. SUMMARY: Responsible for the effective coordination and completion of all carpentry projects on property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Performs general carpentry-related repairs • Performs assigned carpentry projects and installations. • Performs work in accordance with work orders. • Repairs furniture. • Maintains an adequate supply of all materials, supplies and equipment necessary for the efficient completion of job responsibilities. • Repairs and/or replaces locks and hardware as assigned.
