About the position Responsibilities • Perform general carpentry work involved with the repair, alteration, or maintenance of buildings and all related structures. • Build or repair shelves, cabinets, windows, furniture, concrete forms, trim, ceilings, and partitions. • Construct simple structures such as tool sheds, house frames, toolboxes, and outbuildings. • Fit, cut, and fasten all types of wall covering (paneling, sheet rock, plywood, etc.). • Direct and train assigned helpers and apprentices. Requirements • Two years of experience in the carpentry trade. • Training in the carpentry trade can substitute for the required experience on a month-for-month basis.
