The carpenter position works with the Carpenter Foreman in performing all activities related to fabrication and setup of forms for all precast concrete products fabricated in the plant, as well as performing miscellaneous carpentry work as directed by management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with the architectural specifications and applicable PCI requirements. • Meets regularly with the Carpenter Foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems, and to provide input on improvement of work processes and work flow. • Provides information to the Carpenter Foreman on the inventory status of all form-related material so that supplies and materials can be ordered in a timely fashion to ensure performance of scheduled work. • Properly maintains tools and utilizes appropriate safety guards. • Manages carpentry workload for self. • Comes to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy. • Functions as a team player. • Maintains plant safety in accordance with Company Safety Manual and under the direction of Plant Safety Coordinator. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum of five years of recent general carpentry experience. • Minimum of two years working with finish carpentry products such as cabinetry a other forms of woodworking. • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures/specifications. • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piece tickets.
