What You’ll Do In the role of CARPENTER, your duties will include: • Perform routine and preventative maintenance of building woodwork and associated equipment. • Design, build, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials, including furniture, stairways, door frames, partitions, and rafters. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements and provide accurate work estimates. • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass and drywall) according to measurements. • Inspect building frameworks (e.g., walls, roofs) to identify the need for repairs or replacements and ensure structural integrity. • Liaise with other maintenance teams to coordinate renovations or major repair tasks. • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during all construction activities. • Maintain accurate records of materials inventory and task completion to ensure accountability and project tracking. • Other duties as required This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS Requirements: • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance or Secret Cleared with eligibility to upgrade • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) • TVC/Journeyman Card, Journeyman Carpenter Certificate or Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program. • (10) years of experience, two (2) of which are in a lead or supervisory role. • Possess practical knowledge of repairs installation of floor and ceiling tile, walls (plaster, block, drywall), masonry work, locksmithing, cabinet making, framing, form work and general knowledge of the painting trade. • Have experience with operating small power tools and machinery as required. • Have experience reading blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints. • A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required. Preferred Additional Skills: • Possesses an Active and current TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance • Effective Leadership and Communication skills to professionally work with the customer and subordinates. • Knowledge of PM programs.
