Finish Carpenter

Job Title: Finish Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled finish carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role requires an efficient worker capable of working with minimal supervision while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Responsibilities • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements. • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements. • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items. • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding. • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. • Use hand and power tools to perform various carpentry tasks. • Maintain a safe and clean worksite by removing hazardous materials. • Ensure all work meets quality standards and building regulations. • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and engineers, to ensure project goals are met. Essential Skills • Proven experience as a carpenter. • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials. • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.). • Ability to read technical documents and drawings. • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times. • Good understanding of basic math. • Good physical condition and endurance. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in commercial and residential construction. • Finish carpentry experience. Work Environment Work involves both indoor and outdoor settings. Commercial Construction Carpenter

Carpenters work on project sites located throughout the state of Kansas, paying up to $35.00/hour. This position starts as a temporary, non-signatory position. Physical Demands Carpenters are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Carpenters are frequently required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel. Carpenters regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions Carpenters regularly work in outside weather conditions throughout the year. Carpenters frequently work near moving equipment.
