Carpenter - Plant Operations - FT Days

Constructs, repairs, restores, and installs structural woodwork and related materials. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Constructs, repairs, restores and installs structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, shelves, etc. • Operates and performs preventative maintenance on hand and power saws, planers, lathes, joiners, drills, and a variety of other hand tools. • Considers budget when requisitioning materials and supplies from the stockroom or ordering from vendors. • Performs routine maintenance and other functions as needed and/or requested. • Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). • Performs functions that may affect a population newborn through geriatric. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and material common to the carpentry trade. • Skills in the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of wood or related materials. • Ability to read blueprints and diagrams. • Mathematical and analytical skills to do material estimates. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
