JOB ROLE SUMMARY: DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Ability to organize and carry out a work schedule for multiple employees and jobsites • Navigate demands of job site - GC Meetings, paperwork (JHA’s, PTP’s, etc.) • Cursory knowledge of the construction industry and processes • Ability to proficiently read construction drawings and specifications • Ability to use iPad proficiently • Proficient knowledge of OpenSpace jobsite walks and field notes • Proficient knowledge of Smartsheet • Perform quality checks on construction equipment and installation of materials • Manage punch list utilizing contractor’s software • Must demonstrate ability to complete projects on time with an emphasis on quality, safety and cost effectiveness • Expert knowledge of electrified hardware. • Expert level understanding of all major manufacturer’s products (Assa, Allegion, Dorma Kaba, Stanley/Best) and their applications • Other duties and job responsibilities as needed • Schedule and organize crews • Direct and organize material deliveries from warehouse to jobsite • Design, build, organize on site material storage room • Communicate effectively with customers and serve as a reputable PDH representative on all jobsites • Leadership qualities: Ability to listen, train, and coach Encourage and promote a positive work environment for crews Champion of change and innovation within organization • General knowledge of ADA and fire codes as they apply to Division 08 products Attend all job-related meetings as required; security, safety, pull-planning, subcontractor meetings, etc. • Review shop drawings with contractor and/or PM MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Able to stand for extended periods of time. • Able to lift up to 80lbs. • Ability to work in various weather elements. • Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and team members. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers. Summary : The Commercial Carpenter is a skilled professional responsible for the expert installation of metal framing, drywall, doors, and ceiling grids for lay-in ceilings on renovation and new build projects across the Baptist Health System. This hands-on role ensures that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality, contributing directly to a premier patient and staff environment. This position requires a flexible, team-oriented individual who may travel to other campuses and work occasional nights or weekends Other information : High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. Completion of a vocational program or a related trade apprenticeship is a plus. A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on commercial framing and drywall installation experience is strongly preferred. Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
