Pro Service Builders is seeking a SKILLED Carpenter/Trim Carpenter to join our team! • Position pays $22 - $27 per hour – depending on skills & experience • PSB vehicle provided w/company paid fuel, insurance & maintenance • Dental/Vision Insurance - paid by PSB for all employees • Health Insurance available - percentage paid by PSB • $25,000 Life Insurance included with Health Insurance - paid by PSB • Seven (7) paid Holiday Yearly • One (1) week Paid Time Off at one (1) year anniversary Carpenters experienced in the following areas will be perfect candidates! • Rough Carpentry • Framing • Finish Carpentry • Running Base Shoe, Quarter Round, Crown Molding, etc • Minor Sheetrock Patching & Hanging • Drywall Finishing & Painting • General Labor • Some Demolition • Reading and interpreting blueprints • Understanding customer requirements • Responding to change orders • Managing/working with subcontractors • Training apprentices and/or coworkers • Recommending job improvements, alternative methods, etc. (problem solve) • Knowledge of building codes and regulations • Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA) • Knowledge of woods and their uses and adaptability • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry • Written and verbal skills sufficient to keep records and communicate with others on the team Additional job information: • PSB is a Drug-Free workplace. • All PSB employees must possess a Valid Driver's License. • All hiring decisions are contingent on the potential employee passing pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check & DMV record. • This is a Safety Sensitive position requiring ability to lift up to 50lbs, walking, stairs, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion, kneeling, squatting and balancing, exposure to loud noises and dust. • Full-Time Position • Eight (8) to ten (10) hour days. UST License preferred/willing to obtain. Duties/Responsibilities: • Assists skilled workers as assigned. Cuts and threads pipe and assists in the installation of underground and above ground fuel tanks and systems. • Unloads materials that are delivered such as lumber or bags of cement and distributes them to appropriate location as identified by supervisor, project plans, or specifications. • Assist with layout of area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings, distances, and grades. • Prepares and accounts for tools and materials for skilled workers. • Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or removing hazardous materials. • Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools and small equipment. • Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones. • Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials. • Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions. • Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change. • Ability to work with a variety of personalities. • Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed to count and take inventory. Education and Experience: • Prior job experience preferred. • Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements: • Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time. • Must be able to work in all weather conditions. • Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds. • Must be able to work some overtime and at night, when needed.
